Objectives of ELAN’s Partnership
Intervention 1 – Cocoa
Promote increased productivity and value addition through internal capacity building, augmenting in-house agronomists, ensuring that more producers receive extension, and improving operational controls by installing centralized consolidation points equipped with box fermentation units, draying tables, and storage facilities.
Intervention 2 – Coffee
Improve Robusta production quality and volume and post-harvest value addition through the provision internal technical capacity building, increase in in-house agronomists extending training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), establishing a network of strategically located hullers and tree nurseries, and introducing improved planting material and disease resistant clones.
