Marco Venier is an international development professional with over four years of experience in conflict- and crisis-affected areas. He has been supporting the delivery of security, humanitarian and Market Systems Development (MSD) projects both in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) – where he works for ÉLAN RDC as a Humanitarian Advisor – and in the Sahel region, where he spent three years working with the UN and the World Bank. At ÉLAN RDC, Marco is collaborating closely with UN agencies and INGOs to include MSD-oriented approaches in humanitarian activities linked to financial inclusion (digital cash transfers), renewable energy and agriculture.
Masters (MSc.) in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London, UK.
Undergraduate (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Economics from McGill University, Montréal, Canada.
